How much do you really know about your contractor?  Is your contractor reliable, trustworthy and financially secure?  Are they licensed? Insured?  In recent months, many contractors have closed their doors.  In many cases, they have left customers with half-built projects.  Don't let this happen to you!

Our Contractor Background Check service provides you with the information you need to make an informed choice when you choose your contractor. With our service package, you'll receive the following assessments:

1.  Personal credit check on primary Principals of the business:  If your contractor has good credit, most likely they are financially secure and can afford to stay in business.  Bad credit is surely a sign of financial trouble and possibly bankruptcy.  We'll run a credit report on the owners of the business and advise you on their financial situation.

2.  Contractor license and insurance status:  Every State is different, but we will make sure that your contractor meets the State requirements to do your job and has the proper insurance to cover all workers so you won't be held liable.  You'll receive a license and insurance status report on your contractor.

3.  Criminal background check: A contractor is not under any obligation to inform you if they have a criminal history.  Get assurance that the person who is running your project and working at your home is a law abiding citizen. You'll receive a copy of your contractor's Criminal History Report.

4.  Sub-Contractor references:  Sub-Contractors are often hired by builders to perform specific tasks on a project.  It is the builders' responsibility to pay these workers - not you.  However, if the Contractor does not pay the Sub-Contractors, you will be liable. Our Sub-Contractor Reference check confirms that the sub-contractors working on your job are consistently paid in full and on-time and are not owed any money. You'll receive a list of the Sub-Contractors we contacted and their responses to our review questions.
